Just saying hello

. been to long since my last update so here it is.. 7 letters went out and 1 profile save , we're pretty pleased .. We just wish something exciting would happen like a little bite to get us pumped up even more.. we just need something to keep us motivated through all of our sacrifices that are being made.. I have to say this again we're not upset or discouraged at all,, just very exhausted and are having a time staying focused but of course still doing what needs to be done.. Anyway enough of that back to letters going out .... There were 3 sets of twins this past month that our letter went to, me and Chad were like OMG how would we do it and I said we just will he'll get one to mess up and so will I... LOL ..I'M SO KIDDING but it invoked a conversation that made us realize that there is always a possibility of a situation like that.. Talk about life changing in a moments notice . Our life together has kinda been life altering in so many different ways we'd just adapt.

  1. I have a question. I hope it's not rude. I don't mean it to be. I know twins cost more than having one child, but when it comes to the cost of a adoption would your costs of the adoption go up too?

  2. As far as we we're told it's the same amount..And I didn't think your question was rude at all.. :-D

  3. I was wondering the same thing. IAC will charge you another $2500 at the birth; I wondered if they'd charge $5000 for twins? They shouldn't it's not like it's any more work for them.

Hope you guys have a great holiday. And you're right...one day you're fretting about no contacts, and the next day you could be faced with a baby in a few days or weeks. It's like a rollercoaster of life...but worth it!

  4. Happy Holidays you guys! You're right the IAC doesn't charge more for twins, triples, quadruplets, etc, etc - if you're paying in installments it's just one birth fee. I used to think twins were fairly rare in adoption circles - and guess technically they might be - but over the last year I've seen or heard of several folks who've adopted twins. Heck - there are two Atlanta area IAC clients who adopted twins in the last year alone, and from the forums it seems like there are a few others as well. I don't know why 2009 was so busy with twins - must be in the water!
