The Red Pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Upon our Birth Parent Letter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy oh boy did they get us with the red pen of change.... I'm totally fine with what they want to se change but man 5 pages worth.. They didn't even give any positive feedback what so ever... And the funny thing is it's gonna sound just like all of the other letter's now after we make those change's.. We are gonna of course change those thing's verbatim to as what they suggested, but I feel like we are now gonna be just like every other letter out there.. We've given them our thought's in our first rough draft so why don't they just construct those thought's into what they want and allow us to give them our feedback.. We paid them all of our money up front down to the last red cent even for the delivery money part so why not just do it for us.. They know what they want to see... I'm really trying not to sound offended cause I'm really not ... But come on just write the damn thing if you are gonna change litterally everything about it...

  1. Bless y'all's hearts. When you're having to wait for something that you want so badly, every little stumbling block seems like a huge boulder. I am sure it is really frustrating and I don't blame you for not wanting to sound like a carbon copy of all the others. But, in the end, it will all be SO worth it. : )

  2. Yes, in the end...it will be worth a thousand times over. I hope it all gets fixed soon and have that letter in the books for birth mom's to read.

  3. I'm sorry for the red ink. I loved your birth letter! Even though it seems a little overwhelming, it will be worth it in the end. I've heard they do that with all the letters. Don't let it get you down.

  4. I know you've read my posts on writing the letter and my frustrations with IAC about it, and how I fought with them over the format, but damn it they are right. After all that drama it took only 3 weeks for us to match and it was the letter that was responsible for it. But as another Southener (SP?) once said, "Ah feel your pain" LOL.

  6. I too liked your first letter, but no matter, the revised one still does justice to what you are ready to offer that deserving child. I hope your home study went well. All the trials you are going through will be totally worth it when you first have that baby in your arms.
